We little knew that morning, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to loose you, But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us happy memories, Your love is still our guide, And though we cannot see you, You are always at our side. Our family chain is broken, And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, The chain will link again. |
Fold your arms around him Lord, Kiss his smiling face, For he was someone special that no-one can replace. You left so suddenly Uncle Charlie, All I could do was cry, But the saddest part of all, Was that I didn't say goodbye. To me you were someone special, Someone kind and true, You will never be forgotten, For I thought the world of you. |

God saw that you were weary, He gently closed your eyes, If only my love could have saved you, You never would have died. |

No one heard the footsteps of the angels
drawing near, Who took from earth to heaven, My Dawn I loved so dear. She has not really left me, Nor has she travelled far, Just entered Gods beautiful garden, And left the door ajar. |
A heart as big as the ocean, A smile as bright as the sun, You were a mum in a million, As a gran you were second to none. Now the ocean is a trickle, The sun gone into stay, It's been like that for a while now, Since that day you passed away. |

Years go by, And still we cry, For the pain of our loss, Is never forgotten. |
Parting comes and hearts are broken, Loved ones go with words unspoken. I miss you more than anyone knows, As time goes by this emptiness grows. The tears I shed are wiped away, But the ache in my heart is there to stay. |

Beautiful memories woven in gold, These are the treasures I tenderly hold, Deep in my heart your memory is kept, To love and to cherish and never forget. |
A heart of gold stopped beating, Two laughing eyes at rest, God broke my heart to prove to me, He only takes the best. |

I seldom ask for miracles, Just one today would do, I'd open wide the door, And see my Mum walk through. I'd put my arms around you, And kiss your smiling face, For you were someone special Mum, No one could take your place. |
